Special Instructions for your Move to/from Guam:
Guam, also called Guahan (meaning "we have"), is a duty
free port that is outside
the United States Customs Zone. Customs officials inspect all
luggage containers
upon arrival. Importation of plants, fruits, and animals are
restricted without
proper documentation from the point of origin. Narcotics and
deadly weapons
are also prohibited.
American citizens do
not need a passport to enter Guam, although some itineraries
may pass through ports that require them. It is a good idea to
carry your
passport with you during your passage to Guam. Citizens of
other countries
require a passport and a U.S. visa.
Guam uses the American
dollar. Banks, hotels, and money exchange firms change
foreign currency equivalent to U.S. dollars.
Moving your
Pets to Guam:
For many people a home wouldn’t be complete without the
family pet. Because Guam
has been rabies free for the past 20 years they take special
care not to introduce
animals into the country that might be carriers. Please
contact us for information
on moving your pet to Guam.
